This week · Coosaw River
Bull redfish schools are stacking up around the mouth of the Coosaw on the last of the outgoing. We’re seeing wakes and tails from 40+ fish schools between the ICW and Parris Island. Best bite has been cut mullet on a Carolina rig, but sight-casting a gold spoon has been lights-out too. Black drum are chewing crab on the deeper edges around the change of tide.

Last week
First tarpon rolled just off Fripp Inlet on Tuesday. Water hit 78°. Two hookups on live pogies, one to the boat around 90 lb.
Two weeks ago
Big southern flounder are pinned to the creek mouths on the falling tide near Lady’s Island. Mud minnows on a Carolina rig, slow bounced along the bottom.
Three weeks ago
Convict fish are heavy around every dock piling from Beaufort to Bluffton. Fiddler crabs on a jig head is all you need.
