our story
It started with a bateau, a cast net, and a grandfather who saw everything before we did.
Coastal Catch Charters isn’t a franchise or a fleet. It’s three captains, three boats, and one shared standard: you fish with someone who’s spent their whole life on this water.
Rhett grew up shrimping the Coosaw. Marcus learned to pole a skiff before he could parallel park. Hannah was patching aluminum hulls with her mother in the yard behind their Beaufort home. When we hung the shingle out in 2011, we made a promise: no rushed trips, no crowded flats, no chasing dollars over experiences.
We keep it small on purpose. Two boats out at a time, tops. That’s how you learn a captain’s name, hear the real stories, and come back with photos worth framing.

Circle hooks. Descender devices on nearshore trips. Catch-and-release on breeding-size bulls, always. We follow SCDNR limits to the letter and take the long view — because our grandkids should fish these same creeks.
